Clubs and Extra Curricular Activities
Our club offer embodies our vision: every person matters, every person helps, every person succeeds.
- Termly rotation of activities to allow a broad range of clubs, giving children the chance to discover new interests and develop different skills.
- Children put forward ideas for clubs each term, ensuring the offer reflects their passions and that everyone has a voice.
- The vast majority of these clubs are free of charge, run by our dedicated staff, with specialist partners brought in where helpful.
- Information is sent home at the start of each term so families can book places.

Residentials (KS2)
At St Francis, we believe that residential experiences are a vital part of a child’s personal development. They provide opportunities to build independence, resilience, teamwork, and confidence, while creating lasting memories.
Children in Years 4, 5, and 6 will have the chance to take part in exciting residential trips that broaden horizons and deepen learning:
- Year 4: A short stay exploring our local area, including outdoor learning activities.
- Year 5: An adventure residential, giving children the opportunity to take part in exciting activities such as climbing, kayaking, and team challenges, developing confidence and collaboration.
- Year 6: A city experience where we build the children's cultural experiences further through visiting museums, theatres and exploring a bigger city.
These experiences are designed to:
- Strengthen friendships and teamwork.
- Encourage independence and problem-solving.
- Connect classroom learning to real-world experiences.
- Inspire hope and aspiration for the future.
Inclusion and Personal Development
Our personal development offer is inclusive and accessible to every child. We celebrate individuality and ensure that all pupils, regardless of background, ability or need, have opportunities to develop their strengths, take on leadership roles, and contribute meaningfully to school life.
- By living our vision, every person matters, every person helps, every person succeeds and the Church of England’s Vision for Education, we empower each child with:
- Wisdom, knowledge and skills to learn well.
- Hope and aspiration to dream big.
- Community and living well together through service and kindness.
- Dignity and respect, so every person is valued.
